HMD Global’s first Nokia-branded Android smartphones are expected to be announced in India on June 13. The company has started rolling out ‘Save the Date’ invite, which could mean that the brand may launch Nokia 6, Nokia 5, and Nokia 3 smartphones in the country.
The company unveiled the Nokia 6, Nokia 5, Nokia 3 and Nokia 3310 during Mobile World Congress (MWC) 2017 in February.
The Nokia 3 is the entry level device amongst the three and features a 5-inch 720p HD display, MediaTek MT6737 processor.
It supports 2GB RAM and 16GB expandable storage and with a 2650mAh battery.
For the optics, we get a combination of 8-megapixel cameras on both front and back with f/2.0 aperture, 1.12-micron pixel size along with LED flash at the back and display flash at the front.
It comes with a 5.2-inch HD screen and Android 7.1.1 Nougat operating system. It houses a 3000mAh battery.
And powered by the Snapdragon 430 SoC coupled with 2GB of RAM, and comes with 16GB inbuilt storage. it supports expandable storage via microSD card (up to 128GB).
Nokia 5 has a 13-megapixel rear camera with f/2.0 aperture, 1.12-micron pixel size, dual toned LED flash while at the front we get an 8-megapixel camera with f/2.0 aperture, 84-degree field of view and auto focus.
For connectivity, It offer Micro USB (USB 2.0), USB OTG, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.1, NFC and GPS and for the sensors, Nokia has given in Accelerometer (G-sensor), ambient light sensor, e-compass, fingerprint sensor, Hall sensor, gyroscope and a proximity sensor. The device measures at 149.7 x 72.5 x 8.05 mm.
Nokia 6 has a 5.5-inch full HD with a screen resolution of 1920×1080 pixels and 2.5d curved display with Corning Gorilla Glass protection.
And powered by an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 430 processor along with Adreno 505 GPU. It also offers 4GB of RAM along with 64GB of inbuilt storage and houses a 3000mAh battery.
In terms of optics, the smartphone flaunts a 16-megapixel rear camera with PDAF, 1.0um sensor, f/2.0 aperture, and dual-tone LED flash.
While at the front, we have an 8-megapixel front-facing camera with a 1.12um sensor and f/2.0 aperture for selfies and video calling.
All three smartphones run Android 7.0 Nougat, and the HMD Global has promised to upgrade the devices to Android O whenever it becomes available.
